SCUBA diving merit badge is the first new merit badge in three years.  It was released in December of 2009.  Four other new merit badges will appear over the course of 2010

• Inventing- 1st quarter 2010
• Geocaching- 2nd quarter 2010
• Scouting Heritage- 2nd quarter 2010
• Robotics- 4th quarter 2010

These badges are being introduced as a result of the positive feedback they received in a recent youth survey.  More information on these new merit badges will be posted here as we receive it.
